ONTARIO — Colony senior Rahmeer Henderson is listed as a safety on the roster and has made a verbal commitment to San Diego State top play that position.
But depending on the opponent and the situation, the 6-foot-3, 185-pound Henderson could line up just about anywhere on defense this season for the Titans.
“It’s his versatility,” Colony coach Brian Zavala said. “In our odd front, he plays field side and we keep him at outside linebacker. He’s a lock-down safety, He can come off the edge for us, and play some D End. He’s versatile because of his frame he covers a lot of ground.
“He’s physical enough to come off the edge and he’s not scared to get physical inside and bang it up with the linemen. He’s graceful enough to run with guys man-to-man or cover zone.”
