SHREVEPORT, La. (KSLA) - Heat & humidity will be the big weather story with highs in the triple digits possible by next week.

For this evening, we are tracking some spotty storms around the region, but these should end quickly with sunset. Quiet conditions are expected overnight, and it will stay very warm and muggy with lows in the mid 70s.

Another very hot and humid day ahead for Saturday with temperatures climbing into the upper 90s and feels like temperatures from 105 to 110. Scattered storms will be possible during the afternoon and early evening but most of the area will likely stay dry.

Rain chances go down even more starting Sunday and lasting into early next week. This will result in even hotter temperatures with highs likely hitting 100 for at least a few days early next week.
