SARTELL, Minn. — We're hearing from the family of a central Minnesota man who has been missing for nearly 60 years.
Jeff Benn says he is the great-nephew of Roy Benn and is one of only two surviving family members.
“I was only 2 years old when he went missing,” Jeff Benn said. “I remember being a very young kid, probably 10 or 11 and hearing the stories.”
The stories, and the many theories and rumors about what happened to Roy Benn.
"It's always been said he had large amounts of cash on him, and he was very well-to-do,” Jeff Benn explained. "There was this family mystery involved with it that suggested somebody killed him and robbed him."
That theory of foul play was shared by one of Roy’s brothers who was quoted in a news article KARE 11 obtained from the Stearns History Museum. Jeff
