FRESNO, Calif. (KFSN) -- A moment three years in the making came to fruition on Friday morning at the Fresno American Indian Health Project office parking lot.
The unveiling of this new bus, named "Spirit Runner" by Audrey Osborne, a tribal elder, who says this bus will change lives.
"It takes the spirit of us every day. It takes my prayers every day when staff members are driving and helping people, to protect them," said Audrey Osborne.
The bus will provide nutritious food, educational materials and books to Native families in the Central Valley.
Lucero Chavez with the non-profit, Save the Children, says their partnership has been a rewarding experience.
"We were ready to go. We had other initiatives going before this mobile unit, so it was a no-brainer to partner with FAIHP," said
