BIRMINGHAM, Ala. —

Changes to federal and state regulations regarding marijuana, THC, and Delta 8 are proving challenging for some local CBD stores in Alabama, as new laws ban certain hemp products.

B.J. Autry, owner of 'Your CBD Store,' expressed concerns about House Bill 445, the state law that bans certain cannabinoids, THC, and hemp products. "It could be detrimental," Autry said.

He noted that many store owners who relied heavily on smokeables or synthetics have been affected, leading some to shut down. "A lot of store owners that were more dependent maybe upon the smokeables or synthetics, we never really carried here. If that was a big base of their products then you know that that's affected them, and they had to shut down," he said.
