MOBILE, Ala. (WKRG) — The Mobile Police Department is investigating a shooting.

According to the Mobile police, officers responded to a possible shooting on Gentilly Lane and Lapine Drive. Residents of the area reported hearing about 10 gunshots from potentially two different guns.

One resident claims she also heard a vehicle crash into the woods. When News 5 arrived on scene, there was glass from a shattered car window in the middle of the road.

INCIDENT LOCATION:

Mobile police said a man has been transported to a local hospital with injuries after a stray bullet hit him in the back.
