Trump Says He Won’t Disagree With Putin Publicly: ‘I’d Rather Not’

President Donald Trump said any disagreements he has with Russian President Vladimir Putin are best kept a private matter.

The world leaders met in Anchorage, Alaska on Friday to discuss a potential end to Russia’s war in Ukraine, whose president, Volodymyr Zelensky , was not invited. Along with their respective aides, Trump and Putin met for nearly three hours before speaking to reporters , though they did not take questions.

“ We didn’t get there ,” Trump announced, but he added that “we have a very good chance of getting there.”

Afterward, Trump sat for an interview with Sean Hannity of Fox News in the room where the summit took place.
