KENT COUNTY, Mich. — The Ada community wrapped up a summer concert series along River Street on Friday.

The August Beers at the Bridge event ran from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. on Friday at Legacy Park along the Thornapple River.

This is the 10th year for the gathering.

"It's just about creating a place for the community to come together," Kevin Austin, Ada Township Downtown Development Authority Director, said. "It used to be over at Leonard Field, right next to the covered bridge, and now, as Ada continues to grow, we have found better places to incorporate more people into the space and into our beautiful parks."

The free, family-friendly event brings local beer, food and live music to the Ada community.
