BATON ROUGE, La. (WAFB) - Both temperatures and rain chances are expected to run a bit above normal through the weekend.

HEAT ADVISORY

A Heat Advisory is once again in effect for the majority of the WAFB viewing area on Saturday, meaning that heat index values could top 108 degrees in some areas.

WEEKEND OUTLOOK

Muggy mornings will give way to hot and humid afternoons, with highs in the mid 90s. Rain chances on both days look to range from 40% to 50%.

HEAT STICKING AROUND

We’re likely to see a string of heat advisories continuing into next week. High temperatures in the mid to upper 90s will combine with humidity to produce peak heat index values between 105-110 degrees on most days. They could even inch higher in spots.
