Not so long ago, Kristian Campbell had a 15-game hitting streak with the Boston Red Sox Triple-A affiliate in Worcester.

The rookie has already started a new streak, extending it to six games on Friday. In fact, the utility player has reached base in 22 of his last 23 games, including Friday’s contest against the Chicago Cubs’ Triple-A affiliate.

«I have been watching his at-bats,» said manager Alex Cora on Friday. «He is producing, you know, but there is still work to do down there. [He needs to focus on] the same things that he struggled with here, you know, pitch recognition, covering certain shapes of fastballs.»
