EVANSVILLE. Ind (WEHT) - Father Daniel Hackney of Saint Ananias Orthodox Church says members of his congregation of both Ukrainian and Russian descent continue to suffer from the Ukrainian conflict.

Members of the orthodox church in Evansville have even lost loved ones that live in the warring regions, which is why Father Hackney would like to see a ceasefire deal come from the summit.

Father Hackney says his church has prayed continually for an end to the war and hopes that a resolution between Ukraine and Russia happens soon.

Despite being enemies on a national stage, Father Hackney says it has been amazing to see peace prevail in his church between members.

"Their faith unites them, and yet this war is very hard on them. It pains me that they have to suffer." Hackney says.
