Mimicking Texas, the Republican-dominated Ohio House is working to redraw Ohio’s congressional district lines mid-cycle in order to make our gerrymandered state even more gerrymandered.
Why, you ask, would they do this? I don’t know, but I’ll make a wild guess: Could it possibly be because their dear leader has instructed them to do so in order to ensure they can steal the 2026 midterm elections and keep themselves, and Donald Trump, in power.
Kudos to Indiana Republican state Sen. Spencer Deery, who had the courage to speak the truth to his own party: “Rationalizing a mid-cycle redistricting by saying, ‘Democrats gerrymander too’ is an empty and irrelevant excuse .”
