MESQUITE, Nev. — More than $400,000 in suspected methamphetamine was recovered during a traffic stop on Interstate 15 in Mesquite, Nevada.

Police said the stop occurred when a driver going well below the speed limit caught the attention of an officer.

On Tuesday, a Mesquite Police Department K-9 officer conducted a traffic stop on northbound I-15 near the Pioneer Boulevard Exit, according to a statement released by the Mesquite Police Department.

Mesquite Police Sgt. Wyatt Oliver told St. George News the man was driving erratically and well below the freeway speed limit in a Mazda 3.
