PALMYRA, Mo. (WGEM) - A 52-year-old Maywood, Missouri, woman was seriously injured on Friday in a crash involving a semi and car on US 61 near Palmyra.

According to a Missouri State Highway Patrol crash report, at 11:36 a.m., a 2002 Ford Taurus driven by the woman was traveling southbound on US 61 when she failed to yield and rear-ended a 2017 Freightliner Cascadia.

The report said the woman was taken by Survival Flight to University of Missouri Hospital in Columbia, Missouri, to be treated for her injuries.

They said it is unknown if she was wearing a seatbelt at the time of the crash.
