W e knew it was coming.

We even knew when it was coming.

We had all summer to prepare.

So why is the beginning of the school year a frantic rush every year?

My daughter and her family live with me. She homeschools her four kids. And preparing for the start of the year, whether homeschool or public, seems to create a frantic rush every year. There are new clothes (in four sizes in our case), new school supplies, (from pencils to calculators), and even a new bedtime schedule for most of us who relax our lives a little when we don’t have to make it out the door for first period.

So why is it a crazy rush Every! Single! Year!?

But what about other deadlines? School assignments, work projects, and even the dreaded tax time all loom with impending doom in our minds.
