Legion Auxiliary raffles off quilt to benefit veterans and their families

The American Legion Auxiliary of Unit #282 in Woodsboro held a quilt raffle to raise money for the Poppy fund. The Auxiliary raises money for many community needs, but Poppy funds can only be used for veterans and/or their families.

Chrissie Garver presented the proceeds of the raffle, $1,900, to the Auxiliary at the June meeting. The amount included a donation in memory of her father-in-law, Carl Garver.
