CLOVIS, Calif. (KSEE/KGPE) – Only a weekend separates Clovis Unified students and the first day of school.
Throughout the summer, the Clovis Unified School District kept maintenance crews busy, between regular touch-ups and huge construction projects.
"Making sure that classrooms are in good repair, that buildings are freshly painted, that parking lots have fresh coats of asphalt where they're needed," District Public Information Officer Kelly Avants said.
Avants said the district is very proud of the new Clovis Online School building and the Terry P. Bradley Educational Center.
Avants said the district is more than ready to welcome kids back into the classroom. She said, teachers spent all week at school getting classrooms and lesson plans ready.
"A lot of our teachers have been goin
