New data from the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics revealed that Washington state has the highest average hourly wage in the country. Workers in the state earn an average of approximately $42 per hour, surpassing both Massachusetts and California.
The report also highlighted that the typical Washington employee works just over 35 hours weekly, leading to an annual income of about $77,000.
Additionally, Washington’s unemployment rate remained steady at 4.5% in June. During this period, the state’s economy saw a significant growth, adding nearly 11,000 jobs, marking the largest monthly increase since January.
