Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky revealed he will meet with President Trump in Washington, DC, on Monday “to discuss all of the details regarding ending the killing and the war.”
Zelensky spoke on the phone with Trump for over an hour and a half as the commander in chief traveled back to Joint Base Andrews from Alaska — where he met with Russian President Vladimir Putin — early Saturday.
The two brought in other European leaders into the call after speaking for an hour.
“Ukraine reaffirms its readiness to work with maximum effort to achieve peace,” Zelensky wrote on X. “President Trump informed about his meeting with the Russian leader and the main points of their discussion. It is important that America’s strength has an impact on the development of the situation.”
