A Glasgow woman is "livid" over the state of an east end cemetery where her grandparents are buried.

Ceilidh McPherson has been left "absolutely appalled" at the state of Sandymount Cemetery, just off Hallhill Road. The local shared pictures with Glasgow Live, showing the cemetery overgrown with weeds and long grass, headstones toppled over and litter throughout the area.

She feels that Glasgow City Council "doesn't care" about how the cemetery looks and has been forced to tidy up her grandparents' graves herself.

Ceilidh said: "My gran died in 2000 and was buried in Sandymount. At the time they were just getting rid of the grounds keepers so it was spotless.

"Growing up, we went every Saturday, and I noticed the lack of grass cutting and care to the cemetery.
