The proposed New York Mets-backed casino at Citi Field is definitely not the only high-profile option for potential gamblers in New York City.
According to FOX 5, Caesars Palace is flirting with a $5.4 billion casino in Times Square that is being backed by Jay-Z’s Roc Nation. New York has opened licenses to three potential down-state casinos to operate throughout the five boroughs.

Mets owner Steve Cohen appears poised to land one of those licenses to build an $8 billion Hard Rock Casino complex, since state officials approved his bid, dubbed Project Vision, to develop 50 acres around Citi Field in Flushing.
