Climate data from six different international datasets show 2024 was the warmest year on record, continuing an upward trend across the globe.

The World Meteorological Organization's data show the last 10 years, from 2015 to 2024, are the 10 hottest in recorded history, which dates back to the mid-19th century. In the United States, the 10 hottest years have all been recorded since 1998, with 2024 the hottest ever measured.
