A police incident near New Cross Gate station has resulted in officers shutting a busy South London road. New Cross Road has been closed since the early hours of Saturday morning (August 16) following the incident between the railway station and the Marquis of Granby pub.
Pictures from the scene show an emergency cordon in place surrounding a bus, while clothes and medical equipment are strewn across the road.
Transport for London (TfL) has confirmed the 136 and 171 bus routes have been diverted away from the closure.
MyLondon has contacted the Metropolitan Police and London Ambulance Service for more information.
