If I told you that the Mets offense hit four home runs (including two by Francisco Lindor) and scored nine runs, surely you would assume that they must have won the series opener against the Mariners last night. Well, you’d be dead wrong, you IMBECILE. Instead, all but one of the six pitchers who took the mound for the Mets last night gave up at least one run—most notably, Ryan Helsley and Brooks Raley combined to give up five in the seventh inning to give Seattle a lead they would never relinquish. So that makes it fourteen losses in the past sixteen games for the Mets. See the title.
