CASSELTON — While the Squirrels are practicing with the same helmets, pads, and jerseys as they always have, the intensity and expectations have gotten higher, as they face a new division with more competition.

“Our coaches say confidence comes from preparation. I believe that like, if I'm prepared enough, anything in the game will look slower. So that should help out”, said quarterback Brody Kegley, heading into his junior season.

That preparation has gotten a head start for both Brody and senior running back Colton Cruchet, who's looking to build on his 1st Team All-State season last year.

“Colton's a stud. If I'm having a bad game, he'll always, like, pick me up, he'll always have a good game”, Kegley said.

“It's always good knowing you got someone that they know what they're doing.
