Mr. William (Bill) Janik, age 69, of Thunder Bay, passed away suddenly and unexpectedly at home on the evening of August 2, 2025. Born June 3 rd , 1956 in Red Lake, ON. Bill was raised and educated in Thunder Bay and attended Oliver Rd. Public School, Hammarskjold High School and Confederation College. Bill was employed by Brinks Canada as a driver/ messenger. Bill retired in 2021 for one day and returned to work on a part-time basis until his passing, giving him 35 years of service. Bill's hobbies were varied from playing tennis in younger years to league bowling, darts and golf. Bill's true passion was his Ham radio and the friends and contacts he made through the club. VA3 BJJ has signed off for the last time.
