National Airborne Day will be even more special this year as it coincides with the 25th anniversary of the Airborne & Special Operations Museum and the dedication of a historic marker commemorating a part of Fayetteville's history.

The Airborne & Special Operations Museum Foundation will host a special ceremony at the museum Aug. 16 to commemorate the 250th anniversary of the historic oak known as the Liberty Tree, according to a news release from the foundation.
