MOORHEAD — On a recent cloudy summer evening at Jim Gotta Stadium, one of Minnesota's top returning high school quarterbacks was warming up by throwing the football back and forth with a teammate.
Moorhead Spuds quarterback Jett Feeney enters the season after having a stat-filled campaign last year. The 6-foot-2, 195-pound junior said he’s been working on building rapport with some of the Spuds incoming players and there was no time like the present.
“We have a couple new receivers this year,” Feeney said. “I’ve been trying to connect and hang out with them, so we have a good connection on the field.”
Feeney led all passers in the state as a sophomore with 48 touchdowns through the air, and was second in Minnesota with 3,221 yards and 208 completed passes.
