Hurricane Erin continues to churn in the Atlantic, gaining strength as it looks to swing north and away from the U.S. coastline.

It's now a Category 4 storm.

This is the first hurricane of the 2025 season in the Atlantic, according to the National Hurricane Center.

As of the special 8 a.m. advisory, Erin was located about 120 miles east of Anguilla and had maximum sustained winds of 145 mph with a minimum central pressure of 935 mb.

The outer bands of Erin are expected to produce heavy rainfall through Sunday across the northern Leeward Islands, the Virgin Islands and Puerto Rico.

Rainfall totals of 2 to 4 inches, with isolated totals of 6 inches, are expected. This content is imported from Twitter. You may be able to find the same content in another format, or you may be able to fin
