A vulnerable man was assaulted and robbed in an unprovoked attack in the Bellshill area.
The 36-year-old was left "very shaken and distressed" following the ordeal, with police now probing the "cowardly and unprovoked" attack.
The incident took place on Thursday, August 14, between 7.45pm and 8.30pm on Main Street near to Locket Yett View.
The vulnerable victim was assaulted before having his bag taken. Fortunately, he did not require hospital treatment.
Police are now asking anyone with information or private CCTV to come forward.
