The troubled transformation of a historic Nottinghamshire brewery has led to fresh controversy after part of the site was put up for sale. Housebuilder Fairgrove started work to convert the former Hardys & Hansons brewery in Kimberley into housing in 2015, expressing its vision to create high-quality properties inside the old kiln stores, tower and Grade II-listed maltings.

However, frustrated residents slammed the developer over problems with their homes, with some even publicly warning prospective buyers to stay away .

The site, which has been under construction for the last 10 years, had also been probed by Broxtowe Borough
