A proposed house extension in Olton has been given the go-ahead from Solihull planners after the owner reassured them and residents it would not be turned into a HMO.

Lavinia Hughes applied in April for a rear single storey extension, partial conversion of a garage and interior rearrangement at a Barrington Road property.

As the Local Democracy Reporting Service reported earlier this week neighbours feared the property could become a house in multiple occupation (HMO) or large holiday home.
