North Star Air is celebrating the grand opening of its 37,000-square-foot hangar, headquarters, and passenger terminal at Thunder Bay International Airport today.

North Star Air marketing co-ordinator Alan Corbett said the new facility brings maintenance, cargo, passenger services and administration under one roof.

“This will boost efficiency, reliability, and support for the Northern communities we serve,” he said.

The company’s administration and heavy maintenance division have been operating out of the new hangar since early July and the transition has been done in phases.
