Police are hunting a 'knifeman' after a man was left seriously injured in an attack.

Lee Boocock, 36, is wanting in connection with the incident in Shipley, West Yorkshire, on Friday as officers release images of a man carrying what appears to be a blade in the street.

West Yorkshire Police said it is investigating after a man suffered serious, but not life-threatening injuries in a serious assault.

The force said it was "urgently appealing" for information about Boocock.

It has warned the public to stay away if they spot Boocock and not approach him.

Police said there are "serious concerns" for his welfare following the incident. Article continues below

Boocock is described a 5ft 9ins and of slim build.

He was last seen wearing a charcoal-coloured t-shirt, dark coloured jeans
