PORTLAND, Ore. (KOIN) — Whataburger’s newest executive has Oregon ties, but that doesn’t mean local fans of the Texas-founded chain should expect a Pacific Northwestern expansion any time soon.

The burger joint revealed Jessica Reicher as its new Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer on Wednesday. The announcement said she began her career in the industry at Red Robin — all while she was studying biology at the University of Oregon.

She eventually moved on to roles at other food companies like Fuddruckers, Pizza Hut International, Taco Bell and Nando’s. In her most recent position, she served as president for Arby’s at Flynn Group.
