WESTMINSTER, S.C. —

According to the Oconee County Coroner, a 69-year-old bicyclist died Friday night after a vehicle hit him.

The crash happened Tuesday on State Route 182 near East Spearman Road in Westminster around 2:15 p.m., according to the coroner's office.

The victim, 69-year-old James M. Adams from Fair Play, SC, died at 10:22 p.m. Friday at Greenville Memorial.

His death has been ruled an accident, according to officials.The South Carolina Highway Patrol is investigating.
