CHARLOTTE, N.C. — The Hispanic Heritage Festival of the Carolinas has been canceled for 2025, with organizers citing the current immigration climate and concerns about deportations.

The festival, which would have marked its fourth anniversary at Truist Field in Uptown, was called off after organizers determined it was not the right moment to celebrate in a large format, according to a statement released by the organization.

"After much thought and with the well-being of our community at heart, we have decided not to hold the Hispanic Heritage Festival at the Knights baseball stadium this year," organizers said in the statement. "The current immigration climate has created a challenging environment for large Latino events in our city."
