GAFFNEY, S.C. —

A new era is underway in Gaffney. After more than thirty years with the program, the last 15 as head coach, Dan Jones retired following Gaffney's run to the 5A D1 Upper State finals last year, and was succeeded by longtime assistant Donnie Littlejohn.

Littlejohn, a Gaffney alum who was an all-state offensive lineman in the late 90s, has a new look staff and roster around him, including new offensive and defensive coordinators and several transfer additions.

"We always try to reload," Littlejohn said. "We've had a lot of guys transfer in. Trying to develop some chemistry with these guys, and for this team to gel. I think they're doing a good job so far."
