HOUSTON -- The wait is finally over for Dylan Beavers . The 24-year-old outfielder is heading to The Show.

On Saturday, the Orioles announced they selected the contract of Beavers (the club’s No. 3 prospect per MLB Pipeline) and added him to their roster ahead of the middle contest of their three-game series vs. the Astros at Daikin Park. Greg Allen was designated for assignment as the corresponding move.

Beavers will likely be in Saturday’s lineup for his Major League debut. And he’s earned it.

In 94 games for Triple-A Norfolk this season, Beavers slashed .304/.420/.515 with 14 doubles, two triples, 18 home runs, 51 RBIs and 23 stolen bases. It was an impressive showing after the San Luis Obispo, Calif., native reached Triple-A for the first time in 2024, playing six games late.
