TYBEE ISLAND, Ga. (WTOC) - Tybee Island is welcoming a handful of brand-new businesses during the island’s busiest time of year.

The island may look a bit different, with new businesses popping up like The Window, Farace’s Finest, Sand Cat Cafe, and the Kelpie, along with Atomic Bar on the way.

“We are so excited to see new businesses join us on the island,” said Maggie Wright, Main Street Tybee’s coordinator.

Four new businesses have opened in the last few months, all during the island’s busiest season.

“I haven’t seen this many open at one time. But it’s definitely been interesting to see,” Wright said.

Main Street Tybee, the island’s economic development program sees this as a good sign for the island’s economy.
