The rain is going away, Seattle! Well, after a few more showers.

Following a weather system from the Gulf of Alaska that brought unseasonal rain to the Emerald City, Seattleites may see a few more showers on Saturday before the storm clears by Sunday, National Weather Service meteorologist Melissa Gonzalez-Fuentes said.

Saturday is predicted to bring a high of 73 at Seattle-Tacoma International Airport with some afternoon showers. The sun will break through the clouds Sunday with partly sunny skies forecast and a high of 74.

“(The rain) should be tapering off throughout the day” on Saturday, heading into a drier spell, Gonzalez-Fuentes said.

Nearly an inch of rain fell in the region, she said, raising flooding concerns due to the dry and hard soil.
