Previous drunk driving coverage.

DAYTON, Ohio (WDTN) – There will be an OVI Checkpoint on Colonel Glenn Highway in Greene County on Saturday night.

The Ohio State Highway Patrol said the OVI checkpoint will be held from 9 p.m. to 11 p.m. on Aug. 16.

This is funded by federal grants, and it will be held to discourage and catch impaired drivers. Officials said it will be held alongside nearby saturation patrols.

“If you plan to consume alcohol, designate a driver or make other travel arrangements before you drink,” wrote Lieutenant Joseph M. Weeks. “Don't let another life be lost for the senseless and selfish act of getting behind the wheel impaired.”
