As Germany gears up for EuroBasket 2025 , team captain Dennis Schroder spoke about an opponent he deeply admires. Ahead of Germany’s friendly against Serbia, Schroder reflected on Nikola Jokic ’s unique mindset and called him not only the best player in the world but someone who sees basketball differently than most.

In an interview with Magenta Sport, Schroder praised Jokic for his dominance on the court but said his off-court priorities truly stand out. The Serbian big man continues to play at the highest level while keeping a grounded center around family and personal values.
