TUSCOLA – The Zephyr Bulldogs opened their cross country campaign Saturday with a fifth-place team finish at the Jim Ned Warpath Individual.
Zephyr, with 189 points, trailed only San Angelo Central (31), Midland Christian (59), Jim Ned (121) and Abilene Wylie (141).
Competing for the Bulldogs were Aaron Fagan (6 th , 16:15.06), Spencer Marwitz (17 th , 17:49.52), Ethan Prochaska (50 th , 19:20.05), Reese Hamm (53 rd , 19:24.68), Slade Butler (65 th , 19:49.78), CJ Byers (69 th , 19:59.96), Cooper Walls (84 th , 20:44.78), and Riley McCuller (109 th , 22:43.99).
Only one Lady Bulldog was in action Saturday, Rebecca Evetts (101 st , 17:59.75), as several Zephyr girls were competing in volleyball.
