The North Branch of the Logan River, known as the Little Logan River, is a jurisdictional natural stream channel and tributary to the Bear River, and hence Waters of the U.S., subject to the protections of the Clean Water Act and the State Engineer - that’s why the City applies for Stream Alteration Permits for projects impacting the Little Logan River, such as the 2012 extension of 200 East from Center Street to 300 South, and why Willow Ski Lakes Subdivision developer Brett Jensen applied for a Stream Alteration Permit in 2023 for the 1400 West culvert.
