ST. CHARLES, Mo. — Missouri football has named nine captains for the 2025 season, Eli Drinkwitz told attending media after the team held a practice Saturday on the Lindenwood University campus.

As has been the case under Drinkwitz, the Tigers held a team-wide vote to decide who would be captains for the upcoming year. All nine players who were selected are new captains.

“So, a lot of guys voted captain. Nine — I've never had that many,” Drinkwitz said. “But it's one of those things where I knew this class had strong leadership and guys believed in them.”
