TV fans are in for a treat tonight as a new thriller starts on ITV , starring Jodie Whittaker.

The Doctor Who star is one of three friends "whose bond was all but destroyed by the traumatic events of one night 20 years ago".

The six-part Australian series, which originally debuted on Paramount+, follows author Simone as she prepares for her book about the tragedy to be published.

But her publishers have no idea that the story is based on true events that will reopen the trauma of the past.

How many episodes of One Night are there?

There are six episodes to get your teeth into, with each airing at 9.30pm on ITV on Saturday nights from August 16.
