PUNXSUTAWNEY, Pa. (WTAJ) -- Punxsutawney's seven wins in 2023 were its most since 2010, and with a lot of returning talent from last season they were poised to take that next step forward and began the season 4-2.

However that's when the injuries started to pile up and the Chucks lost four their final five games of the season. With the team banged up, a lot of young players were forced into the starting lineup. 17 players return on offense that started at least one game, while 16 return on defense that started at least one game. It was a big learning experience for the young players and the Chucks feel good about the experience that they are bringing back this season.
