MARION COUNTY, Ala. ( WBRC ) - A man in Marion County is now in custody after a manhunt that lasted almost 24 hours.

According to the Marion County Sheriff’s Department, Tristen Amani Stewart was wanted in connection to a shooting that happened Friday, August 15 in the 700 block of Stewart Road in Hamilton.

Authorities in Marion County say a 15-hour manhunt that included multiple local, state, and federal agencies ended at 11:15 a.m. Saturday morning when Stewart was taken into custody.

According to officials, Stewart is accused of shooting and killing his wife and seriously injuring their 1-year-old daughter all in the same residence.
