Two people pleaded guilty and another person was arrested over a three-week period from late July through mid-August in cases investigated by the state attorney general's Medicaid Fraud Control Unit, the attorney general's office announced Friday.
Tiernan Hoyle, 32, of Judsonia provided care services to a patient at Ozark Adult Personal Care in Mountain Home, the attorney general's office said in a news release. However, the release says, Hoyle also used the patient's debit card for personal purchases. Between the charges and resulting overdraft fees, the scheme cost the victim a total of $577.96. Before the case was filed, the personal care home took steps to help the victim recover the full amount, the release says.
Hoyle pleaded guilty Aug. 12 to abuse of an endangered or impaired per
